Being able to discuss new changes and any questions staff may have can be extremely beneficial to the overall function of the team. Another way to keep up with past information that may have been forgotten, you can do online learning modules. Important modules that should be repeated every year would be information like patient safety, fall risks, pressure ulcers, emergency protocols, proper disposal of toxic waste, etc. then having knowledge checks after each module to make sure the information was understood. That way caregivers are actively learning and even refreshing their knowledge on every day tasks that can get a little fuzzy after awhile. Also, finding time to create team building exercises can benefit the overall teamwork on the floor.
